We sign an NDA before we hear the brief — not after. Your client relationships are yours. We never reach out to your clients directly, never list their names without explicit written permission, and never use their work in our own portfolio unless you say so. Discretion is not a feature we offer on request. It is the default.
- NDA before conversation. We sign before you share a brief, a name, or a spec. No exceptions.
- No client poaching. We have a strict policy: we do not solicit, accept inbound from, or work directly with any client introduced to us through a partner engagement — ever.
- No unsolicited portfolio use. Your client's work stays off our site unless you explicitly authorize it, in writing.
- Clean separation. We operate under your brand touchpoints — your Slack, your ticket system, your email domain if needed. Your client sees your team, not ours.
Capacity without
the overhead.
Hiring a senior full-stack engineer takes three to six months and costs $150k+ per year before benefits and management overhead. We give you that capacity inside a week, with no notice periods, no HR, and no bench to carry between projects.
- Sprint-committed capacity. We agree on velocity upfront — a defined number of story points or deliverables per two-week sprint. You know exactly what you're getting before the sprint starts.
- No ramp-up fiction. We've shipped production systems across web, infrastructure, and product. We read the codebase, ask the right questions, and contribute in sprint one.
- Scales with your pipeline. Increase capacity when you win a large project, step it down between engagements. Cancel with 30 days' notice.
- One point of contact. You work with one senior engineer who manages our side of the engagement. No rotating cast, no hand-offs inside our team that spill into yours.

We adapt to how you work, not the other way around. If you use Linear, we use Linear. If you do Monday stand-ups in Slack, we're there. The goal is to feel like an extension of your team — not a vendor you have to manage.
- Your stack, your repo. We push to your client's repository on your infrastructure from day one. Nothing lives in a silo we control.
- Your ticket system. Jira, Linear, Notion, GitHub Issues — we work wherever your team tracks work.
- US-hours overlap. Our team maintains overlap with US Eastern and Pacific time zones for stand-ups, reviews, and anything that's blocking. Async the rest of the time.
- Handoff-ready code. Every sprint ends with documented, reviewed, tested code your team — or your client's team — can own without a knowledge transfer ceremony.
Custom web applications, API development, full-stack product builds, front-end implementation from a design handoff, and cloud infrastructure setup and migration — the same disciplines we run for direct clients. If you're unsure whether your project fits, ask, and we'll tell you honestly.
However you want. We can stay completely invisible — all communication flows through you — or we can join calls as "your team" without referencing A4U. The setup is your call, documented in the engagement terms before we start.
We work in two-week sprints. The minimum commitment is two sprints (four weeks) so there's enough runway to get context, ship something meaningful, and demonstrate the working relationship before either side decides to continue.
Sprint retainers are priced by the engineering capacity you commit each sprint and the complexity of the stack — we scope the rate with you before anything is agreed. Fixed-scope white-label projects are priced the same way as our direct engagements ($25k–$150k, depending on scope).
No. You can work with other development partners simultaneously. We only ask that you don't place us in direct competition with another vendor on the same deliverable without telling us — not for exclusivity reasons, but because competing implementations create problems for the client's codebase.
If you have a brief and the NDA is signed, we can have a kick-off and a first sprint plan within five business days. Availability varies — reach out and we'll tell you our current capacity window honestly.

- 02 Your stack, your repo. Code lives in your client's repository on their infrastructure from the first commit. Nothing in a repo we own or control.
- 03 No names without permission. We never list your client in our portfolio, on our site, or in any marketing material without explicit written sign-off from you.
- 04 Defined sprint capacity. Velocity is agreed before each sprint begins. You know what's being delivered and when — no open-ended effort billing.
- 05 Handoff-ready, every sprint. Documented, reviewed, tested code at the end of every two weeks. Your team — or your client's team — can take it over at any point without a knowledge transfer ceremony.
